Lemme tell you about my prep for watching the 1980 NFL Hall Of Fame Bowl, the San Diego Chargers v. Green Bay Packers.

I was up for the first preseason game, but since it was preseason I decided on my quick run to the store to go for cheap on the beer and chips, grabbing a sixpack of generic beer and whatever chip-thingees were on sale.

So I get home sprawl out on the couch and start munching on the el cheapo chips. My gawd - they tasted like a sick cow’s morning breath. So I open up a can of the el cheapo generic beer to wash it down. That wasn’t much help, I didn’t notice it was non-alchohol near-beer. Insult added to injury.

So I think, “at least there was still the game” and proceeded to watch a boring 0 - 0 tie game which was ended early due to the lightning storm that had moved in.

So the thing was a total wash for me all around, lol.
