CANTON, Ohio FOX6 News has learned the Green Bay Packers vs. Indianapolis Colts Pro Football Hall of Fame Game set for Sunday evening, August 7th has been cancelled due to turf concerns.
Apparently there is an issue with the condition of the field at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium after Saturday nights Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
FOX6s Tim Van Vooren is there and reported decision makers for the Packers and Colts were on the field, meeting about the field condition. David Baker, president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame was speaking with team leaders.
Astroturf!
Great!!!Lets quickly schedule a debate between Clinton and Trump to make up the slot time and the revenue. What do you think?
All part of the world-wide conspiracy. Dylan Murphy knows the truth - he survived The Cereal Famine. Couldn’t get a bowl anywhere.
“So you still have nachos and beer though? Not a total loss.”

Lemme tell you about my prep for watching the 1980 NFL Hall Of Fame Bowl, the San Diego Chargers v. Green Bay Packers.
I was up for the first preseason game, but since it was preseason I decided on my quick run to the store to go for cheap on the beer and chips, grabbing a sixpack of generic beer and whatever chip-thingees were on sale.
So I get home sprawl out on the couch and start munching on the el cheapo chips. My gawd - they tasted like a sick cow’s morning breath. So I open up a can of the el cheapo generic beer to wash it down. That wasn’t much help, I didn’t notice it was non-alchohol near-beer. Insult added to injury.
So I think, “at least there was still the game” and proceeded to watch a boring 0 - 0 tie game which was ended early due to the lightning storm that had moved in.
So the thing was a total wash for me all around, lol.
the guy just spoke to the audience.
YOU’RE GETTING A REFUND!!
No ####ing duh. HOW ABOUT A 50 GIFT CARD FOR EVERYONE WHO SHOWED UP!!
Some came from very far.
The NFL is so ####ing greedy they had to have events both nights before.
They are ALL about the money and now I’m glad the players get the money they do.
None of them (Besides the kickers) is every the same after retirement.
I read horror stories.
Some years they have had high school playoffs there. I attended one in 2000 and 2001. Not sure if it’s continued or not, I don’t live there and my high school went out of business.
I am really glad I dumped my NFL Sunday Ticket! A league ran by pussies and a game now played by thugs.
Just because you have a life doesn’t mean we ALL do!! :)
I only like football and boxing (and boxing ain’t what it used to be) so cut me some slack!! :)
and except for the undrafted rookies and late round picks, everybody on the roster is ecstatic!!!
Are you going to risk hundreds of million of dollars of football players breaking an ankle during a preseason game? No coach in his right mind would risk that.
And Clint Eastwood thinks we’re a nation of puss*es.
None of the big name players would have even played. It would have been mostly guys who are going to be cut in the next few weeks.
The country is and has been going to hell and the most important thing to most citizens is-—whether they can sit, burp and slobber down pizza, while those who can’t spell (and collect millions of dollars) are going to play a game-—America has been shot for a long, long time-—cheers
Unacceptable. NFL needs to compensate fans for tonight’s cancelled game.
Just like The Cobbler's Children have no shoes.
I almost got tickets from a friend of a friend for the game. I'm glad I didn't get them.
I bet there wasn't one straight female on the field for that one.
Sorry for the huge pic. It's real, not Photoshopped.
