CANTON, Ohio FOX6 News has learned the Green Bay Packers vs. Indianapolis Colts Pro Football Hall of Fame Game set for Sunday evening, August 7th has been cancelled due to turf concerns.
Apparently there is an issue with the condition of the field at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium after Saturday nights Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
FOX6s Tim Van Vooren is there and reported decision makers for the Packers and Colts were on the field, meeting about the field condition. David Baker, president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame was speaking with team leaders.
I waited all weekend for this game, and I was very excited. How can this happen?
How is this possible?
We use to play in a rock pit.
Okay, we didn’t get paid a million dollars.
5.56mm
Who do they think they are? Nascar??
I confess to being paranoid (with what I do it’s a job skill) but are we sure this is not a bull(bleep) cover story for a security concern?
CC
They used the wrong paint on the midfield insignia. It’s too sticky to run on.
Did they not have all summer to get the field ready?
“Great googly moogly.”
Thanks, I see it on NFL network now.
“You had ONE job!”
Fire Goodell. Please.
NFL makes billions - and yet this happens... LOL
It SUCKS!@!
had nachos and beer all ready
This is extremely odd. Perhaps more to the story?
Pre-season NFL football.
Yawn.
No, I heard the bros just want to hit the clubs in Cleveland early tonight...
I wouldn’t risk my $million, season and career for an exhibition game.
Bus them to a big HS with a better ground crew!
SNOWFLAKES!!!!!
