NY Times: As Donald Trump Incites Feuds, Other G.O.P. Candidates Flee His Shadow
New York Times ^ | August 6, 2016 | Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns

After a disastrous week of feuds and plummeting poll numbers, Republican leaders have concluded that Donald J. Trump is a threat to the party’s fortunes and have begun discussing how soon their endangered candidates should explicitly distance themselves from the presidential nominee.

For Republicans in close races, top strategists say, the issue is no longer in doubt. One House Republican has already started airing an ad vowing to stand up to Mr. Trump if he is elected president, and others are expected to press similar themes in the weeks ahead.

In the world of Republican "super PACs," strategists are going even farther: discussing advertisements that would treat Mr. Trump’s defeat as a given and urge voters to send Republicans to Congress as a check on a Hillary Clinton White House. The discussions were described by officials familiar with the deliberations, several of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity about confidential planning.

What were you expecting? Well over 90% of journalists are liberals. I suspect it’s 100% in many newsrooms in this country.

Trump endorsed Ryan and McCain for reelection. Far from looking for feuds, these unfortunate endorsements “in the cause of family unity” will cost trump a lot of support and votes. The nyt article is agitprop b s premised on a lie

Guys like Lowell Weicker separated themselves from the Republican nominee, and back when there were white southern Democrats, some would formally separate themselves from guys like Dukakis. This is nothing new.

Too bad there aren’t any ethics requirements in journalism. This year we’d end up with fewer than a handful left who weren’t suspended or expelled from the “profession.” Of course, the lack of ethics and professionalism oversight is what separates it from actual “professions” like doctors, lawyers, hairdressers, and the like. I guess when people refer to a ‘free press” they get what they’re paying for.

They must keep the Ombudsman locked up in the basement in order to get away with all their lying and deceptions.

And IF you didn’t like what I just posted, then take this and shove it: (talking to the New York Slimes)

“You non-trolls who think you are better than Trump are suffering Ted Cruz disease with Mark Levin complications.”

Sadly, a bit of truth in the article. The house republican they referred to is Mike Coffman congressman from Colorado’s 6th district. His ad says he will stand up to a President Trump, I guess he has “stood up” to Pres. Obama many a time, much like our girlie man senator Cory Gardner.

Pissing on the people’s choice is a sure road to defeat for you.

Well, not really the people's choice. While he got more votes than any other contender, he didn't get a plurality. Besides some of his antics, that's plurality fact has made it more difficult for him to solidify his position. But your right to a degree. Some big girl panties need to be put on by some folks.
