Saw them at the Pier in New York City back in the late eighties. They were awesome. Sleepless is my favorite KC piece.

First time I ever saw a video or heard King Crimson play live. Gotta say, not impressed. The band didn’t seem in synch and the guitar playing was close to awful.
I’m a big fan of the studio album Lark’s Tongue in Aspic, except for Wetton’s vocals.
They peaked with Court of the Crimson King, IMO. I liked Cadence and Cascade on a subsequent album. Haven’t liked anything they’ve done since Lark’s. For whatever reasons, they ditched all sense of melody and moved more toward sporadic noise.
