My car requires you to put your foot on the brake to get it out of park. I guess all vehicles don’t require that.

I guess all vehicles don't require that.(foot on brake). Both of my vehicles have to have the brake depressed, but my 1964 Plymouth Fury with a push-button transmission certainly doesn't.
