“Newsflash, Frum, I don’t care what someone’s race or gender is. I care about POLICY.”

I used to believe that. But after being double-crossed first by Kay Bailey Huchison when she led the effort to kill the border fence THAT WAS AUTHORIZED in 2006 (and her horrendous woman-first behavior on Tailhook), and then by Rubio where he PROMISED NO AMNESTY to get elected and then promptly double-crossed his voters by leading the effort for Amnesty (not to mention lying about not running for re-election this year), and then by Cruz scheming to hand the election (and Congress too) to Hillary long after Trump had the delegates - I’m sorry, but this conservative is starting to turn ethnic, for the first time in his life.

It’s going to take a special woman/minority to earn my trust back int he political arena.

The title of the article is revealing. This is just some more screed from Frum who is slamming Trump and his supporters. This is a BS article.

Frum sort of gets it. But not quite.

Hard to believe so many on this thread don't see the sarcasm and stereotyping that Frum uses to attack his mythical Trump supporter. FRUM IS ATTACKHING TRUMP AND HIS SUPPORTERS. WAKE UP.

Part of the reason I hope Trump wins is... the absolute freak-out factor on the part of our countries “Progressives.” Oh, when Bush won that second term, that was fun. I can still remember the wailing and the gnashing of teeth... if Trump wins, we’ll see all that at 200%, and I can’t wait. I want to see them “driving-n-crying” to Canada, only to be turned back at the border because the Canadians are panicking too. I want to see them melt down. The only thing that would be more fun is if Trump had chosen Sarah Palin for VP. Not that I think he should have, it just would have been even more terror-inducing for them, and I want to see them vomiting blood, I really do.

It is quite possible that this election (and possibly the world) could turn on the first Clinton / Trump debate. If Trump goes nuts and implodes with a poorly phrased remark of entirely incorrect statement about foreign policy recovery may be impossible because the sound bites will be shown endlessly.

I once worked in Boston near South Station. I took the train in and back home. I saw Acela people every day. They were glued to their cell phones, tweeting and watching Dem videos. Wealthy and clueless. Trump’s win will blind-side them.

Not to worry. Hillary! is demanding they be held the nights of NFL games. Few will see the debates.

I find it interesting that Frum has to "invent" a Trump voter.

And I really think that, as usual, he missed the point. Perhaps he should check the top of his head to see if it is there.

People are not afraid of crime. They are worried about a government that sticks the military and police out to solve problems for them and then leave them to die.

They are worried about a government that wants them disarmed and helpless.

They are worried about a government that wants them dependent.

They are worried about a government that wants them replaced.

His sneering condescension and the bigotry he shows in this article shows that at heart he never will get it.

In the article he is merely quoting what Trump supporters are telling him.

No, in the article he is quoting what the imaginary Trump supporter is telling him.

He would never soil his virgin ears by actually talking to a Trump supporter.

There’s a certain amount of validity and a certain amount of straw man. He also didn’t hit on the lack of credibility enjoyed by both parties.

Best part...would make a great ad:

Get it through your head: Our people are done fighting wars for your New World Order.

We fought the Cold War to stop the Communists from taking over America, not to protect Estonia.

We went to Iraq because you said it was better to fight them over there than fight them over here. Then you invited them over here anyway!

Then you said that we had to keep inviting them over here if we wanted to win over there.

And we figured out: You care a lot more about the “inviting” part than the “winning” part. So no more.

...not to mention half of the white vote staying home (Romney effect), as Kasich offered nothing to them (same for Rubio and virtually all of the others).

Forgotten in this are the ABC voters- Anyone But Clinton- who are horrified at the prospect of her in the presidency. Darned few of THEM would stay home!

The only thing that would be more fun is if Trump had chosen Sarah Palin for VP.

I sincerely hope that Trump takes a page from Palin's playbook, rooting out and punishing corruption in his own party the way she did in Alaska.

Hillary! is demanding they be held the nights of NFL games.

Trump is smart enough to nix that.
