A McDonald's employee in Brenham has been fired after she refused to serve an off-duty police officer ordering food for himself and his family.
When the officer and his two children tried to order at the burger chain near U.S. 290, the woman behind the counter, whose son is currently in custody, told the officer she wouldn't serve him. Another employee stepped in to take the order.

If Hillary is elected, it will be because of people who think like this.
It's funny. About 30 years ago, I noticed all the workers in fast food joints in the Boston area were white. In Virginia, they were all black. Then, over a couple of decades, New England fast food joints were mostly staffed by Hispanics, but after seven and a half years of fundamental change, they are mostly white once again.
Why can’t we refuse to use a muzzie cashier to balance out this garbage? They are offended by the CROSS or JESUS T I wear.
Between that and the tiny font print many pages are not readable and you can’t always blow them up. I can’t read under a 12 font, and even that is blurred. Need new glasses badly, can’t get a refraction to stay stable more than a week.
Glad the thing was fired, but you know that a White person who refused to serve a Black would be fired, arrested, and have his home surrounded by street savages chanting for his death.
Getting fired from McDonalds is the ultimate FAIL.
Being humiliated like that in front of your kids is cause for a financial settlement. A simple apology wouldn’t work for me.
You’d spend more suing her than she’ll earn in her entire life.
i keep hearing about them and how people don't like them...
Her son Dindu Nuffin was not available for comment.
Not her, McDonalds.
Ghostery
I’ve been seeing an ad on tv recently about glasses you can manually adjust to suit your needs, whether for distance or for close-up. When it pops up next time, I’ll give you more details. Looks like something you could use and are inexpensive (and you can drop ‘em without damaging ‘em).
Here, just caught the ad on tv, you can take a look at their website. The glasses are $19.99.

This is a critical review of it:

Field, thanks for looking; they only go to 250, I’m at +350 in the left eye, that is the problem eye, I’ve gone from 20/40 to 20/50 to 20/60 vision and back and forth for the past 6 months it can change overnight. And the Othomologist doesn’t know why, it won’t stay stable. I’ve been sent to the Retina and Cornea docs and get a clean bill of health from them. The left cataract lens is 16 yrs old, was never the right lens I’ve always seen blurred out of it and the sloppy surgeon nicked a nerve. Right one is 6 yrs old and not a real issue thankfully a different surgeon, the best in Memphis Gary Passions. I’ve had a new Script getting stronger every year for 16 yrs now. Astigmatism is an imperfection in the curvature of your cornea.
My 2015 pair of glasses is +350, and they correct for astigmatism which came with the cataract surgery, didn’t have it before. And plain magnifying devices don’t correct for that abnormality in your vision. I’m blowing up the computer screen until its almost off the page and still see blurred. They no longer work.
They’d be good for some one just wanting to work on a project that just needed a slight vision boost. But noting else. They are not made for driving. I’ve a x 16 with LED lights magnifying glass and still have problems discerning what I see.
‘These eyeglasses will not correct astigmatism. The lenses in these glasses are not for prescription lenses. DO NOT use for driving and/or other operating heavy machinery.’
+1.

Sorry to hear that, I didn’t know what parameters the glasses might fit. My problem is with distance, I can’t see clearly beyond a foot. Close-up, I can see above average (itty bitty writing).
And all my distances are blurred, up close is the worst, try putting on your eye brows and not being able to see what you are doing with a magnifying mirror; middle where I use it the most for computer etc, is bad, driving even at 10 feet those over head big road signs are not clear and crisp, forget the info signs unless I’m 5 ft away. And the distance is considered my best vision by the Othomologist.
I’ve done fine up until this last year, then all went to pot.
Your vision should be stable after cataract surgery, mine isn’t. The fact it is the oldest one, and always has been an issue is no surprise. I’ve been without glasses for almost a year now, so it limits what I can and can’t do. I can’t even fill out doctor forms as I can’t read those ant tracks. If I took a vision test for DL I’d flunk it with no glasses to correct the vision. I rely on the right eye as a result as it is 20/30 vs the 20/60 of the left.
Watch blurry TV and get Kindle books I can blow up to the max and read the still blurry words even in their biggest font. Driving is limited to the 2 mile trip to the grocery store, and that is a nightmare to shop, I take the x 16 mag glass along to try and read those ant tracks they call print.
Hubby needs distance after his cataract surgery and takes off his glasses to do up close work.
Ugh, that’s a mess. I hope you’re able to get the glasses you need soon. I probably need to upgrade mine, as I haven’t had them checked out in nearly 12 years.
I wish, I get new ones every year for the past 16 yrs, each one stronger. Get another refraction on the 9th, then more waiting, to see if it will stay stable. To top it off the left eye burns constantly and has for 16 years, thanks to the nicked nerve. The Othomologist is setting up a Refraction Specialist with an eye toward Lasix to correct the left eye’s horrid vision that glasses no longer can correct. Medicare/Tricare Life won’t cover even a needed medical procedure that is considered cosmetic. They can’t even piggy back the bad cataract lens, and removing and replacing it is not viable it would leave me blind in that eye. Not far from it now. That won’t happen before Christmas at the rate they are moving.
