A McDonald's employee in Brenham has been fired after she refused to serve an off-duty police officer ordering food for himself and his family.
When the officer and his two children tried to order at the burger chain near U.S. 290, the woman behind the counter, whose son is currently in custody, told the officer she wouldn't serve him. Another employee stepped in to take the order.

lol. The PERFECT recipe for a freeze up.
That what I love about FR. It takes TWO seconds to get on.
I dont even know which ad blocker to download.
I feel like i’m always downloading one thing to protect against another thing!
Figures the new cutting edge area and the future is full of freaks, fruitcakes and fags.
I’m guessing she’s a Democrat.
Notice to actors, celebrities, and fast food workers, in general. Just do your job and stop with trying to inject your political bs into the conversation. You’re hired to do a job and we don’t pay to hear your personal opinions or political views. Cut the BS or you will get the pink slip.
Almost always. I'm accurate at least 99.99 % of the time on these guesses...: )
Because the jobs have dried up in much of the northern states due to the economic policies and regulations set in place by The One and we're getting the libs from those states transplanted here, some intentionally to turn the state blue while other's couldn't find a decent job where they lived. Now lefty transplants are working on screwing up our state.
I hate future trust fund morons.
Going to guess s Amish 250 + lbs plus whose son dint do nuffin
Whoops! Wrong story. I thought I was commenting on Gore’s dumb daughter.
Brenham is NW of Houston, between 15 and 20 thousand and about 1/4 black.

How did she know he was a police officer, unless he was in uniform?
If he was uniform with his kids, what the hell was he thinking in this environment?
This is why its a bad idea to live where you police. You are going to run into to someone you had locked up while off duty and with your family.
I would love to send a teletype out to all agencies. STOP EATING AT FAST FOOD PLACES IN UNIFORM. If you are not getting grief when ordering, you are getting glass in your food.
I'm a big fan
I never go on sfgate, the NY slimes, UK guardian, Atlanta Urinal and Constipation, and many other left-wing fish wrap papers.
all SFGate does is pretty much crash your PC with ads.
You don't have to put up with that. It came up in less than 1 second on my computer. Why? "Ghostery" showed they threw 20+ trackers, ads, analytics-type apps at me. If one or more of those hangs up, you will wait forever (as happened to you) for the site to come up. None of them got through except for a few I allow. It is an extension added to your browser. Go to ghostery.com.
It blocked their comment section, so all I did was click on the Ghostery message and selected "allow once." No problem.
If you get it, it will seem like you have a new computer on a faster internet connection. If you don't like it, disable it on your browser.
Are adblockers, ghostery, etc. evil? They do reduce the amount of info sellers get about you, which decreases their income. Since one starts using these with good results, then a bunch of others jump on and pretty soon you have 20+ of them checking you out. One or two you won't notice, but when they get greedy, they become a pain in the butt, which means your computer appears to slow down and sometimes locks up due to poorly written intrusive apps.

dp0622 see my post 37.
Yes, of course you need adblockers, too. I just assumed you had one.
These make for a pleasant online experience, at least until they come up with something else. NYT and WaPo let you see a few freebies and then they block you unless you pay or figure out a way around it.
As always, it’s offense, defense, better offense, better defense, even better offense, even better defense...
I would rather they refuse to serve me rather than putting any kind of special sauce in my food.
