Change.org is hosting an online petition calling for the removal of air conditioning from U.S. State Department property, following Secretary of State John Kerrys comments that climate change is as dangerous, if not more, than threats from ISIS.
As of the time of this publication 33,576 supporters have signed the petition, which, according to the site, will be delivered to President Barack Obama.

Great idea - let’s expose those hypocrites.
Thanks much, and thanks for the ping. This is great!
Many thanks for posting the article - I did not know about it.
YW, and the graphic on the petition is excellent too.
I only steal the best.
Don’t computers need AC?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
No.
In the old days.........maybe.
And people wonder WHY Carrier is leaving the US for Mexico, and taking 1,500 good-paying jobs with it???????????????
That’s a perfect bumper sticker!
where is the petition for removal of A/C in the White House residence quarters, or even the OO?...How about EVERY gubmit property for local, state and Federal property. It’s all for the CHILLRUN.
Not true.
Even water cooled computers (water cooled just like an automobile) need AC. Small stuff like routers, servers, and switches need AC, too. The ideal ambient temp is approximately 72 degrees with the above raised floor humidity of about 45%. The humidity helps alleviate static electricity.
It was John Haller who suggested people make bumper stickers of it

But how can that be?
With all that AC off, the climate should be just right. It won't be too hot anymore. Right?
Love it!!
No AC for DC - No AC for DC
” Small stuff like routers, servers, and switches need AC, too.”
I walked to the back wall of my shop one day several years ago and was amazed by how hot the wall was. I looked up and saw the Linksys WRT54GL router turned repeater sitting there 3” or so from the wall covered in dust where it had sat for 5 years or so. The laser thermometer and the wall showed to be 126*.
I moved it a few feet away and it still sits there covered with dust. It does get brushed off when I have to reprogram it for a new router.
I worked in a large machine shop and we had lots of computers, it would be 90 degrees and more in there plus they would get plenty of grease and grime on them and they just kept on working.
DANG!
