ARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. You could call this one tall order.
A Saratoga Springs police officer on mounted patrol went through the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru while on his horse.
The horse, named King Tut, reportedly earned a glazed munchkin while Officer John Sesselman ordered a cup of coffee.
Whitney Shafter captured the amusing image, and it was posted on Teddy Fosters Facebook page with the comment, Only in Saratoga.

First week of 2016 Saratoga Race Course meeting..good PR.
I’ve seen people on horseback go to the drive-thru.
Never seen a cop though.
Cant get any greener than that unless you walk. And they may not serve you if you walk.
It would be amusing if they weren’t so busy handing out tickets to regular citizens who pull this stunt.
The drive-through is a very dangerous place for the horse, the rider and others...
When I was young and newly married, my husband’s work took us to Van Horn, TX. It’s on I20 and major stop for tourists, since there’s nothing else for miles. I was kinda bored, so everyday I went through the drive-thru at dairy queen, and give her would put her head through the window and the people working there knew her and would give her a treat. Anyway, soo many travelers would take our picture, elated that they got to see how things are done in Texas. It was fun.
See my post below.
LOL!
Great short story...
I loved it!
Thanks for posting it, Cecily....thanks for the great photo, Fiddlstix....and Vendome, read your own tagline at #5....and take it to heart, LOL.

Seriously, I’d expect something like that in our little podunk Upstate NY cowtown.
Good story, good for cops, good for Saratoga - now let’s make America Great Again!
Rode a horse to the store a few times, but never through the drive through.
I’ve gone to the drive-thru at my bank on a bicycle a couple of times, but not on a horse.
Glad you appreciated it. I drove through there a few years ago with my grandkids and told them the story, so we were going to stop at that dairy queen and it was closed!
I hope he knows who was preparing his food. Much smarter to go where you can watch them prepare it.
LOVE IT!!
I wonder when this happened? I know some cities have stopped for now using horses because it makes the officer an easy target.
Saratoga is a beautiful town.
