Good news! The is some good work going on in Georgia between the Shriner Hospital (know for children’s prosthetics) and the service men in Georgia that need prosthetics. It keeps them here in GA instead of having to travel to Texas for fittings and rehab. This helps the families.

There is some interesting research which has been done on limb restoration. The book “The Body Electric” by Dr. Robert Becker is an excellent starting point. He was thrown out and his grants rescinded for the valuable methods he discovered. Likely, this type of healing predates the Civil War. We don’t know any better, of course.
