This thread is ridiculous on so many levels.

First thoughts in my head are: Boats and harbors, an armed citizenry, private planes and the like.

Simply put, if someone tried to forcibly keep you in this country, what would you do to get out? (assuming you wanted out)

LOL, oh gee, I’m sorry.

Actually I’ll be too old to care, but for my descendants I worry a bit

Interesting how so many think in a static way. I think differently. Things change on a daily basis, and so many things can change to limit your travel without even being aware of it.

Not until it is too late do people usually look at the scenarios that enslaved them.

“The Atlantic side. 2: The Canadian side 3: The west coast.”

Two of the three are available to anyone in Mexico.

Or when air conditioning causes the sea levels to rise, how will we get around the wall?

The best way to let that happen is to not build a wall and give the ‘crats a majority of the country where they can do anything they want.

Many creeping government steps before many want to leave.

everify gives the Feds the power to tell private employers whom they can and cannot employ. Anyone who thinks this won’t creep into unintended consequences should leave immediately.

By focusing on 11+ illegals we have no focus at all.
We need to focus on the 10% (1.1 million?) who are truly undesireable. We waste a lot of time, money and manpower on the 9.9 million who aren’t a problem.

For too long we focused on Mexicans and Central Americans in general when the bigger threat is those from Libya to Somalia-Syria-Iraq-Pakistan-Afghanistan. (Need I mention Clintonn Foundation donor Saudi Arabia?)

They already have us behind a virtual wall. We can’t open foreign bank accounts in most countries, we have to pay taxes even after we renounce citizenship. As long as our money stays here and is accessible, they don’t care if we leave.

Rafael can start a ferry system from Texas to points along the Gulf of Mexico.

You would likely be shot trying to enter Mexico illegally. And that would be a best case scenario. They would not allow you the same treatment they demand for their expeditionary force.

You are wrong. Obviously you can’t control 1500 miles of border without a wall when there is immigration pressure. Only a few entry points is exactly the aim. How many Americans are trying to escape to Mexico to be slaughter by the drug cartels?

That’s the type of critical thinking I was looking for.

Thanks.

Yes, building a wall does not stop illegals as much as using the laws and ways we already have the power to use. A wall is not going to stop another Obama from bringing them in by rail, or by plane, the wall is like gun control, it will do more to limit us than them.

The second amendment.
The northern borer.
Boats.
Small aircraft.
Hot air balloons.
Dynamite.
A stout truck.
A bulldozer.

The second amendment was assassinated at the same moment as Antonin Scalia.

It depends how you look at it.

Let’s find something else to worry about.

I mean, can we look forward to having just a a short period of time when we are not conjuring the next disaster?

I remember peaceful days once upon a time even when we lived with the threat, created or not, of having a hydrogen bomb dropped on us.
