Test how well you can read emotions of others just by looking at their eyes.
The ability to read the emotions of others is linked to "social intelligence" which, in turn, is linked to performance on team-based problem solving tasks.
The test typically takes 10 minutes to complete.
I can’t get the damn thing to load either...using IE 11...is that too down-revved?
Your score is 33 out of 36
How did others do on this test?
The average score is 26. But we found that not everyone does the same on this test:
Women, on average, score half a point higher than men.
Young people under 18 score substantially lower than adults.
Does this test work equally well for all people around the world?
This test was developed in Great Britain and the images you saw were taken from British magazines in 1990’s. Unsurprisingly, the test doesn’t work perfectly for people who are not native speakers of English or for people who come from cultures that are very different from Britain’s.

27/36. Above average, which is astonishing. I can’t read people in real life at all.
26 out of 36; but I tend to judge people more on their actions than their faces.
That’s not bad! I kind of had to learn how to read faces, because we moved so much.
24/36
When they were staring off at the distance, I thought they were preoccupied or contemplative.
I am good at judging the mood of others, but horrible in being overly feisty in response.
I was thinking that my own social IQ might not be very high.
I think I am bipolar with regard to social IQ.
High IQ on first impression...too feisty (leading to low IQ) if I don't like that first impression.
Ted Cruz would do very poorly on this test.
Take Hillary Clinton for example.
UUUUGGGGLY.
I liked the guy when my only exposure to him was in print. Then, I heard him speak and I knew his candidacy was a dead letter. Then, this RNC speech. Whoa.
Trump's no angel but Hillary needs to beaten into dust, scattered to the four winds, cast into the outer darkness, thrown into Mount Doom, exiled to Elba (or is it St. Helena?) and her name erased from history. I believe Trump has the stones to get the job done.
Sumpin wrong wit Cruz.
Your score is 29 out of 36.
