My favorite RNC speeches so far ... (vanity / sarcasm)

Here's my favorite speeches so far from the RNC convention:

Mitt Romney (I'd pick Ryan again - and again)

George W. Bush (I gave Barry the best intro I could!)

George HW Bush (Ha! Fooled you twice! - None of us Bushes would EVER be like Reagan!)

John McCain (Hillary is a nice woman - just like Barry is a nice man)

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Humor; Society
KEYWORDS: sarcasm
Ted Cruz (I coulda been a pretender...) (with apologies to Marlon Brando - somewhere on the Waterfront)

Mark Levine’s passionate speech calling for party unity...

Glenn Beck’s tearful reminder to us all the costs of the past eight years of lawless borders in terms of loved ones killed by illegals. Particularly chilling that one story of a vindictive drug dealer who fooled him into believing the kidnapped children he was escorting were fleeing from rebel violence.

Herbert Hoover in 1928 ... “the economy is strong today and will be even better if you allow me to succeed Calvin Coolidge.”

Teddy Roosevelt in 1904 ... “I am not putting any money into this new-fangled stuff like automobiles, airplanes, telephones or phonographs, none of that crap will be around in a hundred years from now.”

Abraham Lincoln in 1864 ... “My second term will be remembered as a time of extraordinary developments and I have no qualms about saying that I will run again in 1868.”

Gerald Ford in 1976 ... “when’s the election again?”
