Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the Lone Star State lawmakers are cracking down after recent recent attacks carried out against police officers.

aims to strengthen penalties for crimes committed against police officers.

My Dad, born in 1916, was a Democrat until the ‘70’s. He served at the front lines in Italy and backed anything that made America stronger. Sometime after the ‘60’s the average Democrat had more in common with the Bolsheviks than conservative Americans. I’d go so far as to say that today we’d identify most of the pre-1070 Democrats as conservatives. Saul Alinsky succeeded in shifting the entire political spectrum to the Left.
I mention this to say, yes, if you could find a 1925 Eliot Ness to carry out your plan we could go with it in confidence. But there is nothing like an Eliot Ness in our present government. You have no idea who you’d be sending to conduct the raid; Possibly a Trotsky or Stalin.
Alright, I understand the sentiment, but just as another gun law doesn’t stop a criminal from obtaining and using a gun in a crime, harsher penalties for cop killers aren’t going to deter a whacko who is already resolved to die in the commission of his crime.
That’s what I was thinking.

I think that’s Great idea to begin with, but with snipers and guys just walking up and opening fire through the window, dont know how much another guy can help.
Like their Islamic counterparts (as many have been exposed as being associated with Islam in one form or fashion) they are not concerned about dying. My point is, while this is good to have on the books, it will not be a deterrent.
Louisiana made killing a police officer a hate crime quite some time ago. DOJ can’t do a thing about it.

This is public masterbation. A huge circle jerk. And the biggest jerk is the headline writer. How is this going after BLM?
What they should do is go after BLM. Sue them. Charge them with conspiracy. Investigate them. Campaign against them. Shut them down. Kick them out of the state. Throw the leaders in jail. Sue their financial backers. Seize property from their financial backers. Start a State of Texas list of terrorist organizations (if there isn’t one now) and put BLM at the top of the list.
Too bad they can’t use it against the Waco Bikers.

No one is talking about black on black violence (apparently black lives don’t matter if taken by other blacks).
No one is talking about self-depopulation (apparently blacks don’t want more blacks, aborting more than birthing).
No one is talking about white lives not mattering to blacks (former killed by police at higher rates).
And if it is terrorism, such as BLM-inspired and Islamic violence, call it that.
And, assuming it doesn't mention race as part of the deal, it will be interesting for them to explain why a set of actions against police officers is a racist thing - have to admit that a certain race is more likely to be the offender.....
