Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reportedly fled the country in a private jet following a military coup.
In the last few hours gunfire has been heard in the Turkish capital Ankara as military jets and helicopters were seen flying overhead.
In Istanbul, the Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge have been closed, along with Attaturk airport where tanks and soldiers have been seen.

Wish it was Obama. He could keep the jet.
To his brothers in Iran. I was hoping he ‘d be swinging from one of those bridges!
Do not bring him here! We already have an unpopular dictator.
Please fly over Russian airspace!
My thoughts exactly!
I prefer the Ceausescu solution
I thought Erdo was under arrest from an earlier #Turkey tweet.
I hope his private jet has long range and lands somewhere in the southern Indian Ocean.
Erdogan is an agent for evil. “Islam is Islam. Democracy is the train we take to get there.”
And, although they’ve had some ups and downs, Erdogan and Obama are buddies. Reportedly, Erdo was one of the first people Obama called on being elected. Islamist conspirators, both.
With the Clinton’s of course.
Elvis has left the country!
“Never wound a king.”
How long before Obongo gives him sanction here?
Bye!

Yep. We’d buy him the jet.
Obama’s “most trusted” favorite leader, Erdogan” has left the building. Maybe he will be an overnight guest at the White House.
Do you know if there are international players who are behind the military coup?
How long before Obongo gives him sanction here?
I just posted the same thing, on another thread.
