She’s made a genuine apology. You’re being trolled by the media.

Other than that Ms. Nesbitt-Comaskey, how was the shopping trip?
Sounds like a variation on the story (not confirmed) of the reporter on his first day on the job when JFK was assassinated in Dallas, he unexpectedly found himself next to Jackie Kennedy who was trying to be helpful to the reporters as best she could, and when she turned to him to ask if he had any questions she could answer, he reportedly said "well Mrs. Kennedy, except for that, how was the parade?"
My former radio station manager insists the story is true, as for me?
Not so sure, but crazier things have happened.

Let’s look at this for a minute.
They didn’t read her thoughts.
Did she call in to the press to discuss this?
And knowing she’s on tv, she says this?
Oh my.

Sorry. Can’t buy that. As I said, I did not hear those words, but listened to most of her interview. Her affect during the entire interview was not one of someone dealing with an emotional shock.
Her words are entirely consistent with my perception of her during that interview.
Imagine someone telling the world on 9/11” it might sound selfish, but this ruined an otherwise wonderful trip to NYC to see a Broadway Play.”
I am guilty of giving the benefit of the doubt more often than I should. Not this time.

Why do people bother making these vacuous, tepid apologies? The only appropriate follow-up to her idiocy is “I said something incredibly stupid, insensitive, and shallow. I apologize to the world.”
And then there’s the question of why she posted such a moronic thing to begin with. Did she really think anyone gave a hoot about her shopping trip to Nice? But that’s fodder for another rant ...

The media can attempt to troll me all day long. My opinions are my own.

"I apologize to the world."
The least she could do would be to carry a sign through ISIS occupied territory that says "I'm Sorry" (like that moronic white broad roaming around Chicago "apologizing" to black America.

This a characteristic traumatic stress reaction. And it seems to me the "sanctimony" lies with those who would sit safely across the ocean and judge this woman for her initial reaction. And wasn't it Bush after 9/11 who said something to the effect that we shouldn't let terror disrupt our lives and that we "should go shopping?"Do you prefer mustard, or melted cheese on your pretzels?

I, too heard her live and she certainly did not sound stressed or a bit confused. Quite the contrary. She sounded truly annoyed.
Apology uncharacteristically NOT accepted.

Maybe this is awful and maybe a bit selfish but it did spoil our shopping trip. 'We bought all this lovely shopping and now I cant be bothered with it.What has she said that is untrue? She was very forthright in what might go through the minds of anyone who is near to, but not personally affected by a tragedy. A lovely shopping trip has been ruined and she now has items that are meaningless to her and also the sight of them will bring back horrific memories. I'm sure many of us have sights, places, fragrances, or other things we avoid because the evoke memories that are horrible. Isn't this what her point was?
