I could care less that the guy got shot. You fight with the cops and bad things happen to you. Another Darwin award winner in action.

Most have no idea that at least 60 innocent people were murdered in Chicago last week; blacks killing other blacks. Are they ‘outraged’ about that too? I don’t see them wearing a T-shirt about it, or holding a candle.

T-shirt idea: Specified time period (last month, past year, etc.), number of blacks shot by cops vs. number of blacks shot by other blacks. Might open a few eyes, though if I wore it I'd be called a racist!

But I’d wager he wasn’t complying because he didn’t want them to find the gun...and resisting the police, with a concealed illegal gun in your pocket, is asking for disaster.

Illegal gun? The second amendment make no such distinction, so there's no such thing. If he shouldn't be armed, he shouldn't be free.

I agree. However, I may be misinformed about absolute numbers. My sources tell me that 60 people were shot or wounded in Chicago last week, but 60 were not ‘murdered’.
Either way, I’m advising my Michigan relatives not to visit Chicago anytime before election day. With police (understandably) somewhat in retreat, that city is very dangerous.

So? Why should I care what football players say?

Yeah it's not like they are actors or singers or something. Now when entertainers speak we need to listen. /sarc

“Illegal gun? The second amendment make no such distinction, so there’s no such thing. If he shouldn’t be armed, he shouldn’t be free.”

He was a convicted felon, and forfeited his civil rights. Whether or not you agree with that practice, it is the practice - and Sterling had to have known that he was facing a weapons charge, once they arrested him and patted him down.

I am not familiar with over half of all entertainers.

I enjoy reading much more than movies or television.

Their managers should be on the phones telling them to shut their cakeholes if they don’t want to be warming the bench until their contracts expire.

the black nfl players might decide to pull a UofMissouri on us and threaten to not play....boo hoo hoo...

I wish they would because it won't interrupt my life on bit even though I like football....there are lots of other things to do/watch...

I was hassled by a cop once (and I’m not even Black though I was wearing a dreaded hoodie!!) and asked into the back of the squad car while he checked my id. I would have liked to have uh let’s say settled his hash, and still occasionally fantasize about that, so I understand.

But I remained calm and compliant and was neither tazed nor plugged nor cuffed nor arrested.

If a fellow has been hassled multiple times (without! cause, not with cause like almost all these guys that get shot) I’m very sympathetic, but be smart guys!!! You aren’t gonna win a fight with a cop.
