Worthy of a Viking Kitty call, d'ya think then?
Beautiful ocelot ping
That ocelot is really like a big old friendly house cat. Very playful.
Thanks for that link, my daughter and I enjoyed it! Of course now she wants to go to Costa Rica and look for one herself!!
First an ocelot stole my socks. Then a weasel ripped my flesh, and a moose bit my sister.
Sheesh. You call this something to smile about?
Rzzzzzzzzzzz!
Well, as he mentions, it is a rescue cat so is more trusting of people than would be the case for a normal wild cat. Those teeth and claws are dangerous, however, and on the vid you can hear how great pains are taken to stay away from them because of that.
Too easy to get deeply scratched or bitten, especially if the cat gets startled.
bump
Glad she liked it. Please remind her however that although it is playful in that video, it is still a wild animal and not a pet. Especially since it has less fear of humans than a regular wild cat since it was a Rescue cat, it would have no fear of turning on a human if it felt threatened, and if you look at it closely even one good bite from it would take a large chunk out of you.
It is not tame, and would not necessarily like being petted. Especially if something were to startle it, the results on any nearby human could possibly be fatal.
This is a good video in that it shows us some of the beauty that exists in nature, and the results when we act properly to respect and help the animals which God has blessed us with by placing the ability to step in when they are in need, rather than to view them with indifference and turn away.
And the young Ocelot is very cute indeed! :)
