But instead of trying to stop her teenage boyfriend from taking his life, prosecutors in Massachusetts believe that Carter pressured Conrad Roy III to go through with the act.
And on Friday, the states highest court ruled that she could go to trial for her alleged role in his death.
I hope they hold her accountable for her actions, Roys grandfather, Conrad Roy Sr., told the Boston Globe. She told him to get back in the truck. She prodded him on. All of the text messages are pretty much self-explanatory.
The Supreme Judicial Courts ruling which found that a grand jury was justified in returning an indictment in Carters case was unanimous, the Associated Press reported. Justice Robert Cordy wrote:
We conclude that, on the evidence presented to the grand jury, the verbal conduct at issue was sufficient and, because a conviction of involuntary manslaughter is punishable by imprisonment in State prison and inherently involves the infliction of serious bodily harm, the grand jury properly returned an indictment under the youthful offender statute.

Sounds like she might have been using reverse-psychology.
That is one evil Kunta there!!!
This girl isn’t satanic.
She IS Satan, in the flesh.
Reminds me of one of my Mom's friends in the '50s - she was really upset because she was pissed at her boss and told him to drop dead -- which he did later that nigh of a massive heart attack.
I realize it ain't the exact same thing but where does one draw the line. If someone urges a girlfriend to have an abortion, or even perform one on herself, it kills a baby -- under the "standards" used here, that person should also be indicted.
So, she did not have affluenza? I thought all white yoots did.
Is she old enough to be Hillary’s running mate?
How does one kill them self with a gas-powered water pump?
The charge is “involuntary manslaughter”. This will be interesting. There’s no doubt that she’s a vile predator, but how will a jury find?
Agreed.
She is truly evil. She pushed him and pushed him. She is a sociopath. She wanted the attention she would garner after he died. This was a manipulative ***** who used the ultimate power over another vulnerable human being. There really are no words to describe this person.
That all said, she will get away with it.
Absolutely. The boy obviously had issues, and she played upon those issues. She could have walked away and said it is over, but she instead chose to repeatedly goad him until he finally acquiesced.
While I agree with your characterization of this vicious creature, I hope that you’re wrong about her chance of conviction.
What you described sounded like a one time event, a nasty remark voiced while in a particularly bad mood. What happened with these two here though, was not a one time event, but an extended campaign to cloud the boy’s feeble mind and shape his behavior.
She knew he was highly suggestible, and many boys that age will be with young girls. She knew he had few other influences in his life that could counter her suggestions. This boy seemed to feel both inferior and deeply depressed. This gal must have known how the end result could look, and like a film director(or like the Intercom voice of your own consciousness), she hectored him in order to achieve that result.
I have no faith in our legal system.
What a sick twisted person. I’m surprised Islam didn’t recruit her, she’s fit right in.
