The Hawaiian Reds want to be "a free country" anyways. I say let them have it. Seems like an easy answer to me, to save America.
We have everything to gain, and I don't see that we have much to lose.

Independence? Then Russia and China will move in. I like the idea of Jefferson though.

Should America eject the communist country known as Hawaii? How about HaBye! Hawaii is not American in tradition or culture, and should never have been made a state, but if it is cut loose you can bet than within five years it will be under the chicoms.

Hawaii will never be independent. It will American, or it will be Chinese. There is no Door #3.

What on earth are you smoking, or injecting? Get a grip.
Hawaii is not the enemy, nor is the culture "filth" as you call it.
Just as in most places, there are subgroups. To define in your broad venomous categorization is unwarranted and irrational.
I grew up in Chicago and settled in Hawaii, so I know something of the cultural milieu of Obama and Davis.
My Japanese father-in-law fought in the 100th Battalion, dubbed the "Purple Heart Battalion", and he received his for valor in Italy. Please do not dismiss the importance of Hawaii to the USA to fit some cockamanie theory you have dredged up.

If we are going down this road, why not evict more states?
Has California passed the point of no return, with liberalism, radical Democrats firmly in control of Sacramento, and a critical mass of illegal aliens??
What about the Boston-Washington axis in the northeast? Are those places simply too far gone??
Can we do a divorce, and split America into the liberal/socialist/Obamacare paradise that liberals dream about, and the remainder being a more conservative country???
To: Dilbert San Diego
California has passed the point of no return. It is only a matter of time until the Mexican flag is raised over California’s public buildings as the American flag is lowered.
I think each and every single refugee should be settled in Hawaii. All of them

I thank your father in law for his service. IMO, it’s the Japanese American community in Hawaii which makes it American. But it was Neil “Yellowfangs” Abercrombie who made Hawaii more liberal than Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, best not to beep your horn if a “bruddah” cuts you off. Want beef?

Split Pennsylvania from Philadelphia, all the NYC boroughs from NY state, Illinois from Chicago, eastern Washington from the Seattle/Tacoma sewage, and eastern Oregon from Portland. And maybe Missouri from St. Louis.

Brilliant gestalt. I wish I could come up with such pithy truisms.
Let me give one a try: Real Conservatives, being intellectuals, seek out frigid dingy metropolises.

I see what you are saying with the splits of major cities from the remainder of their states.
But what status would the cities have? I’ve heard similar proposals to the effect that our largest cities would become “city-states”, and would then have two senators each in the Senate. Politically that would change things in Washington, not for the better.
To: ProgressingAmerica
Because two minutes later China would scoop it up.
To: jobim
See that “,too” at the end of the sentence?
That means they are like other people.
Everybody likes the beautiful scenery and nice climate in Hawaii, so why shouldn’t idiot socialists settle there, too?
Thank you for insulting me for your lack of reading comprehension.
