My Dad was in the Idaho National Guard back in the late ‘60s. He told me of two different incidents regarding the Governor visiting/talking to the troops. One was that he wanted to welcome and thank all the members of the Idaho Natural Guard, and the other that he was reading a speech, and at a particular moment, read the words “pause for impact” as part of his speech.
