EAGLE POINT, Ore. An alleged bike thief was stopped in his tracks at a Walmart in Southern Oregon thanks to a man... on a horse... with a lasso.
Photos shared with KATU's sister station KTVL in Medford show a cowboy hat-wearing man sitting atop a horse with his lasso around a slumped figure.

endora came up here!!
Ping for my roping buddy. He’ll love this.
Have him teach me how to do that.
I have no willpower among redheads. Female, that is. Male redheads make me worry they might be someone’s angry brother ;)
This is about as alpha American as you can get.
He’s pretty good, but you’d have to have a horse ready and Rope. Hard to be prepared all the time heh.
It wouldn’t feel real good to be roped I’m sure.
There was a tree nearby - should have strung the SOB up.....!!
>> youd have to have a horse ready and Rope <<
Yes, indeed.
Or to state the matter another way, “When seconds count, the horse and the lasso are minutes away.”
Haha yup.
Or even if horse and rope are there, is the horse saddled? Is it fed? Shoed? There are so many variables.
That pcture that's posted elsewhere (I think this story has been posted like a dozen times) of the thief holding fast to a small tree with his lasso'd feet held taut by the horse is Pulitzer-worthy.
I’m surprised the MSM didn’t try to spin this into an attempted lynching.
Oh, I think it’s awesome this man was able to do this. It’s a feel good story.
I was joking around about the rest of us heh.
I’d have to settle for a flying tackle. Nothing quite as spectacular as what this gentleman did.
