[Might be a stupid use...]
Actually, I haven’t seen a frog or a toad in a long time. The same goes with fireflies, honeybees, and butterflies.
and snakes.
Our 8 acre farm in Eastern Kansas has all except maybe the honeybees. We have some but not a lot. Lots of frogs, butterflies, fireflies. Also dragonflies, turtles, birds. I’ve only seen one monarch this year which makes me sad. We grow milkweed for them. We even have a sign telling them that we’re a Monarch Way Station but my brother pointed out that it’s in English and since they’re from Mexico they probably don’t understand it.
A friend who lives in northern Michigan has blue birds all over the place but I've only seen one here in S.E. Michigan.
I haven't seen an oriole in over 40 years until a week and a half ago when I decided to purchase an oriole feeder for my back deck. Now I have one coming to it all day long.......
I haven't seen a monarch butterfly yet this season but yet a friend of mine's wife already has 5 monarch caterpiller eggs, 6 good sized black swallowtail caterpillars and 2 American painted lady caterpillars in the butterfly cage I built for her last year. They were all harvested in her small backyard from the various plants she specifically planted for the respective species.....
Come on down to the north woods. We’ve got plenty

You should come visit. I am blessed with all those critters and many more.
I’m especially fond of fireflies. They proliferate when the grass is high. It’s like having thousands of little Tinkerbells. Mowing destroys them. So that’s my excuse not to.
Really??? We see lots of frogs, honeybees and butterflies. But, then again, we live in the woods in the northeast.
It’s called winter :-)
See them all the time.
Maybe you just don't have the right stuff in your yard.
Just about stepped on a toad the last time I was at the doctor's office.
Toad was hopping across the parking lot.
My yard is infested with green tree frogs. I can’t trim the hedges without slicing up a few. And they’re getting in the house. The other day I was taking a shower and saw one clinging to the shower wall. We have also found them clinging to the inside of the windows. We catch them and throw them outside. I have to check the grill before I fire it up so I don’t accidentally cook a few.
