A gay Belgian man who says he cannot accept his sexuality has asked for the right to die using his country's radical euthanasia laws. The 39-year-old claims he is enduring extreme psychological suffering and that his sexuality has made him 'a prisoner in my own body'.

Unfortunately, we live in a bizarro type of world where if he had told them ‘I am hetro. and I can’t tolerate it!”, they may already (out of ‘compassion) have given him the tiny green pills to end his life. “Will two pills be enough, or might you need eight?”
If he’s that mentally messed up and can’t get psychiatric help WHY does he need the governments help to die? Its not hard. Take all the medication you can find, lie on train tracks and wait, jump off a building. Why does he need the drama and publicity? There are people fighting hard to live; its too bad we cant suck the life out of people like this and give it to those desperate for more time. Drama queen much??

Very good insights. Thanks. Everyone gets hit by a traumatic event in childhood: bullying, abuse, death of a family pet, death of loving grandparents.
The effects of abuse are numerous: chemical dependencies, promiscuity, acting out, withdrawing.
The solution for all trauma is to review and discuss traumatic events with a therapist familiar with EMDR research.
Death does not heal the trauma.
Bottom line: we all need to discuss our unique traumas with a therapist using EMDR research. It is fun and healing. For example, if you associate a song with a death of family pet, then listen to the song in a new environment. Or if you associate an urge with the sight of someone of the same gender, then feel the urge in relation to a suitable person to make a family together. Simple in theory, complicated in practice.

Dementia is a broader category of cognitive dysfunction than Alzheimer’s.
For example, Parkinson’s disease can result in dementia, and dementia can be a complication of insufficiently managed diabetes.
Yes. As I understand it, wedding cake only reduces the sex drive by 50%. And it only reduces it in the bride. It’s rumored that wedding cake increases it slightly in the groom....temporarily, at least.

A doctor once told me that psychology and medicine are as subject to fashion trends as the clothing industry. Short skirts and LGBT enabling come into fashion and the psychologist must look favorably on both or be ostracized. For liking longer skirts there would be no penalty. But for advocating anything other than the current fashion in gay enabling might mean unemployment and inability to publish. Both mean death. But the employer or publisher can not face the militant blowback so they eliminate the cause, the unfashionable employee or author.
As hard as it seems to see from our perspective, fashions change. This too will probably pass, like knee pants and spats.

I think it is wrong for a small elite of rule makers to want a “purification” of American society in the ways of the Left where political correctness rules over individual rights. It makes the truth something you have to keep to yourself to survive.
