The newly crowned Miss USA is a 26-year-old Army officer from the District of Columbia who gave perhaps the strongest answer of the night when asked about women in combat.
"As a woman in the United States Army, I think ... we are just as tough as men. As a commander of my unit, I'm powerful, I am dedicated," Deshauna Barber said. "Gender does not limit us in the United States."
The winner of Sunday's 2016 Miss USA competition held at the T-Mobile Arena off the Las Vegas Strip will go on to compete in the Miss Universe contest.

Agree. Flipped to the channel just before the winner was announced. When we saw the two finalists it was obvious which would be selected so no need to watch further.
And here I thought the Lt. Was a “Commander”.

I didn’t watch it. I knew it would be PC crap from start to finish. Honestly how could anyone be surprised with the results?
Do you think that way of all reservists or just this reservist in particular?
FWIW, a lot of reservists including those who had previously been active duty service members before coming back to civilian life but then going in the reserves, consider the term weekend warrior to be a pejorative.
