I am a bit surprised that they chose this image to promote their movie.

I don’t see the problem. Worse than this shows up in every science-fantasy-adventure film. Maybe people are objecting because it’s a still, rather than a fleeting visual?
I see that, and figure, “I’m supposed to wonder how she’ll get out of that, because of course she will.”

"This violence in my kid's face is not okay. Hmm, I wonder if this special little snowflake has ever seen one of the video games that kids love to play these days. Between first-person-shooters and the role-playing games where kids do nothing but kill, that picture from X-Men is quite tame by comparison.

There are still parents who try to protect their young children from this kind of thing. I respect that.

Jennifer didn’t seem to mind. She’s pretty tough. She knows it’s all theater. In that sort of movie, her charecter was probably able to turn the tables anyway, and put this ‘man’ under unrelenting pressure.

She had herself dyed blue in support of Hillary?

I am a bit surprised that they chose this image to promote their movie. Yeah. Showing a massive black man choking a woman blue would call for cries of racism and riots and boycotts in any other context.

Ah, but in the video games, they kill mostly male characters.
The objection is not about violence, but violence against WOMEN, a special protected class. It's OK for women to beat up guys in the movies, but unacceptable for a women to be beaten by a guy (take a hit, OK -- beaten no).

I'm surprised that anyone experiences any angst over any of these SciFy movies.......It's fantasy.......

Yes, from what I remember. But in an upcoming movie, who knows. Bad guys and good guys change sides all the time nowadays.
Heck, before you know it, there’ll probably be a movie about Batman vs Superman.

That is exactly how I see it as well. How is she going to get out of the situation?
Why do we as a society feel the need to play into the “Tumblr, this image triggers me” generation? Fox should put an ad out that tells all the little boys and girls to shut up. It is a super-hero movie. Not real life. When we start having issues with silver bullies strangling blue, skinny, chicks, we will be a little more compassionate. Until then.
