As much as I hate the Clintons, I’m bothered by a Secret Service agent violating the confidentiality of his job. If a president cannot trust his SS detail not to write tell-all books, he will try not to have them around, making himself more vulnerable.
The author better beware of arkancide.
No doubt George Will is getting ready to trash the book.
It would be nice if this had a big impact.
There were several anti-0bama books out in 2008, but they obviously had no impact. I don’t think most democrat voters read much, they just follow orders without question.

Depends.....standard confidential content and even some negative material about the character of the President should be kept confidential, in my opinion.
But if the content speaks to consistently unethical behavior then I don’t want to think of SS as “employed” to keep information from the public.
I’ll use an exaggerated example to make my point - if the president was shooting up heroin in the oval office - then no, I don’t think confidentiality applies.
This book will be number 1 on the charts by the time it is released, thanks to Drudge.
Drudge did the same thing in 2004 for the Swift Boat Veteran’s anti-Kerry book, “Unfit for Command”. It was really low on all the book list, then after Drudge headlined it, it catapulted to number 1 and totally destroyed John Kerry’s “I served in Vietnam - I’m a hero” shtick.

I took the time to go to Amazon and read the preview “Look Inside” materials. What is posted consists of the Table of Contents, Intro, the first chapter, a little of the second chapter, and the Afterwords. It is simply written, but convincingly written. There was some hearsay but also some first-hand witnessing of events. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the book contains.
What has always amazed me about the Clintons is that with what is known of their deeds, how they can even show their faces in public. As I’ve aged and become more cynical, I’ve come to realize that they must have a seriously large number of enablers. That they have indeed been bought by entities/people that are not the friends of America. They have been compromised. And a vast conspiracy (pun intended) exists to keep them in power because they provide a lot back to the enablers-—funds (aka our tax dollars), information, etc. It is sick. And what is sicker is that there are a lot more like them out there. I can only hope and pray that Trump wins in November and then that he proceeds to rapidly and completely clean house at all levels. If Trump fails to win for whatever reason (read: fraud...) then we are all in for a very terrible time of it. The nation may not survive. I know that sounds dramatic, but it’s the path we’re on. And it will happen fast. /end rant
I can not recall ever hearing of a Secret Service Agent writing a tell all book. I thought they had a strict confidentiality policy and legal agreement.
Is this guy going to get sued? Will Team Clinton quash the distribution? We live in interesting times.

I’m not going to waste my time reading it as I am very troubled by the whole concept of the book. Regardless of what we think of Clinton, the Secret Service are supposed to be neutral, to be trusted, to be silent. Our presidents need their services and if left worrying about the confidences shared/explosed, the relationship is poisoned, and risks become very real. Trump needs to know he can trust the Secret Service, they all do. Very sad this former agent is squandering the trust placed in him for a few dollars of profit and 15-minutes of fame.
On Amazon it is possible to read a preview of the early pages of the book, plus to access quite a few additional pages one by one when clicking the “surprise me” link for sample pages.
I just read maybe 40 assorted pages of the book. I think it’s a real ass-kicker for Shrillary, although so far I haven’t seen any one revelation that will ignite the headlines. But if people can be induced to read the book I think all but the most slavish Hillary-bots will experience revulsion at this woman and this charlatan grifter couple from Arkansas. They must NEVER be allowed back in the White House, for heaven’s sake!!!!
I’m confident some of those who were politically murdered and thrown under the bus for decades by the Clintons, are talking to the Trump folks.
