I have a Samsung netbook and it is running win 10 and doesn’t seem to have any problems.
LOL. Don’t rain on their anti-Microsoft parade.
GWX Control Panel is good for preventing the nags and the upgrades.
Wow, knowing Samsung the way I do some heads have to be rolling down the South Korean hillsides over this. How embarassing. Definitely NOT Windows 10’s fault.
MS sneakily put Win10 on my computer after me turning it down numerous times for a voluntary upgrade. I told it to delete. Now it seems slower and loading pages slower. Hmmmm.
I opened it up, and the fatal failure was a dual gear. The larger diameter gear was barely attached by four 2mm dots of plastic that finally gave way.
Oh, and the IR transmitter died on it too, somewhere along the way.
I've tried to avoid Samsung ever since.

When I was transitioning from XP to Win7, I bought a SamJUNK 17” i7 laptop. It lasted exactly ONE month beyond the warranty period and crashed.
I took it to a local repair shop. They checked it out and determined it was the motherboard. They contacted SamJUNK and found out SamJUNK did not have replacement motherboards.
I have an $800 SamJUNK doorstop.
I previously owned a SamJUNK DVR. It lasted about 2 years before it quit.
Now, if I see the SamJUNK name on any product, I look for alternatives.
I replaced that SamJUNK Laptop with a Dell of similar specs. I did change the disk drive from a 5400rpm to a 7200rpm for quicker access. The Dell is still going strong after about 3 years of daily use.
There is an even better O/S beyond Win X?

IT AUTO DOWNLOADED ON MY DESK TOP LAST WEEKEND AND FRIGGING REPLACED EVERYTHING
I DISABLED CORTANA
BUT IT OVERRODE MY PDF AND WORD FILES ON MY DOCUMENTS AND MADE THEM UNUSABLE BARING BUYING A NEW MS OFFICE ADOBE PRODUCT
I DIDN’T WANT IT NOR ASK FOR ESPECIALLY THIS INVASIVE
100s of file I can’t open or modify now and I had need to do just that last night
I had to call banks and apologize for being late
I’m headed home this afternoon to try to remove it
I was quite happy with whatever Windows 7 I had and the accompanying Office
I hate how the constant evolution makes stuff unworkable in a few years
I use remote cc swipe and Bill cashiers
I can only link to them through INTERNET EXPLORER
well it’s being phased out now
New cashiers for my business are 25,000 each

My Samsung Tab works fine with Android. I need M$ X because?
My cousin has an HP laptop. Microsoft forced an upgrade to Win 10 and now his touchpad doesn’t work.
Most Samsung TV’s and phones are decent, but I’m not sure I would buy anything else made by them. My Samsung microwave was garbage.
I am sure this thread will attract the Windows 10 bashers, so in the interest of maintaining my sanity, I am going to post this comment and leave.
Samsung is one of the WORST companies in the area of customer care. Our Samsung refrigerator has been a nightmare to get repaired, and Samsung so rude - even simple calls to them to locate a local repair company have ended in them being rude and unhelpful. Most of the local repair companies won’t work on them because they say it is too difficult to get repair info and parts from Samsung.
Both my sons had Samsung smartphones, both failed with some mysterious issue known to manifest on that model, and no help from Samsung.
So I have put Samsung on my personal “never buy” list. YMMV, and you may never need support from them, but with so many good alternatives out there, why take the chance.
Must be Samjunk’s problem.
A year ago, I bought a basic Toshiba laptop with Win 10 to do a few basic MS things I need to do and to be a backup for my Acer Chromebook 15, which is my everyday main PC.
After a few downloads, it works reasonably fast and well. Ad Block Plus and Ghostery speed up the process, and I run it on Norton secure re sites I go to.
I have 10...wondering if the control panel can stop the updates unless permission given. There is a radio button choice that seems to indicate it might work. I stream, Win 10 updates whenever it likes, chunking the computer game I stream to 5fps. Wonder if rhis would fix that?
