It has a release date that is not so far, far away. But Disney bosses are apparently so alarmed at how bad the new Star Wars spin-off movie Rogue One is that they have ordered four weeks of expensive reshoots in a bid to salvage the project. After the money-making bonanza that was The Force Awakens, they are reportedly shocked at how the new film, which takes place shortly before the original Star Wars and features delicate English starlet Felicity Jones as a tough-talking maverick pilot.

The Force Awakens made money because it had the original stars. And the original plot.

My original theory still stands, I think that the girl from this movie and Darth Vader are Rey’s parents.

When I was in Florida teaching a class, I overheard two guys walking through the parking lot. The one guy says “Whenever I can’t sleep, I just put on Start Wars, and I’m right out!”
I wanted to object, because I knew “the force awakens”! ;-P

Disney probably needs it to be good because there will likely be attraction tie-ins at the new Star Wars Land at Disneyland.

Oh gee, another movie feature some pipsqueak chick who can kick six guys' asses at the same time. How cliche'd. In all fairness, Bruce Lee (or was it Jackie Chan) managed to pull off fighting bigger guys than him despite essentially being a pipsqueak himself in terms of appearance, so it does have some basis in reality. That being said... Felicity Jones' character may have gone way too far regarding strengths, especially when there's very little way to justify them, even being more unjustified in this than Rey (and I was pretty irritated at her being so skilled at the force that even the term "prodigy" would have failed to even begin to describe her skills. A Mary Sue if there ever was one), who at least had the fact that she's a Force User as an excuse for her being able to take down guys bigger than her. Plenty of other female characters who are either shown or at least implied to be fully capable of taking down guys at least had some justification that would make their doing so somewhat plausible. Supergirl/Powergirl, for instance, is a Kryptonian, meaning she was going to be far stronger than any standard human on the face of the planet, man or woman, with only Superman himself (maybe other Kryptonians like Nom or Zod) being stronger than her. Likewise, Ariel is a mermaid, and she spent a lot of her life under oceanic pressure, so her taking down human males would be perfectly justified as well. Felicity Jones really doesn't regarding taking down humans (not that I know of, anyways). I think the only other character to have little justifications for pulling stuff like that off is Belle whenever she lifted up Maurice and Beast. Basically, the only way a petite chick can pull off actually beating the crap out of six guys at the same time and actually have it be somewhat plausible is if she's a Martial Artist (up to and including being a ninja), a Force User, or not an actual human (and by that, I mean she HAS the appearance of a human, but her origins are not actually human and most likely had to endure a more unforgiving environment like extensive oceanic pressure or living on a planet that had much heavier gravity than on Earth, like if she were a space alien like a Kryptonian or a Saiyan, or if she were a more mythical creature like a merperson).
