I know that zoo fairly well. That’s hard to do if someone is even barely watching the child.

I'm sick of animals being euthanized because people do stupid things, including not protecting their children.
Can I say that?

Perhaps, but one thing I’ve learned in raising kids and working with them in different situations is that they can move far faster than anyone could imagine.
That poor kid is going to have nightmares for life after that.
But I’ll bet when his parents tell him to mind after this, he’ll listen.

Yep. Now watch the negligent parents sue the zoo for not having a safe enough (child proof) enclosure.

Sounds like the boy lives in a life-threatening situation with his noncaring parents.

Lack of parental supervision of a young child...yet it seems nobody is asking about that.
Where are the PETA/Animal Rights wacko’s? Why are they not gathering and changing #GorillaLIvesMatter????

"Sounds like Someone wasnt watching a child."
So you were there and know what happened? Anyone with a kindergarten understanding of human nature knows that even a loving, attentive parent can be distracted for a few moments, and that it only takes a few moments for a child to get into trouble. In this case, maybe the parent was standing watching the gorilla, entertained, assuming that the child was doing likewise, and not knowing that there was some way for the child to get into the gorilla enclosure.
