A couple of us Americans spent a week in Marseilles setting up a backup system for a mainframe customer. For a celebration party, the head of the customer IT department took the team out to dinner. The appetizer dish was ante pasta with chunks of grilled octopus. My friend and I were visibly hesitant, but being good sports, we tried it. We ate so much that they brought out a second plate.
Deep fried squid or octopus is OK, but grilled was really good.

What is the premise for this? First I've heard of it. Why can't so called science writers invoke just a little science at least, instead of making unsupported supposed statements of fact?
(kind of like Tom Brokejaw just asserting that terrorism will increase as a result of more guns in private hands. Well, private guns have increased by some 100 million since the obamanation and I don't see it.)

Cephalopods are marine predators. Not apex, but many are not far from it. Can’t imagine that their population explosion signals disaster.
