Fremont Burglary Suspect Who Entered Fumigated Home Dies
FREMONT (CBS SF) A burglar who was caught on video breaking into and stealing from a home being fumigated with a hazardous chemical collapsed and later died after leaving the property, police said.
The apartment building located in the 39800 block of Fremont Boulevard was being fumigated for bed bugs and was covered with a tent.
The residents shared the surveillance footage from the camera they purchased just days earlier out of fear one of the fumigation workers might steal from them. What they wound up seeing was even more shocking.

The coroners office identified him as 24-year-old Markangelo Yap.
I bet the burglar’s family sues...
proving again that you can’t always get what you want...
Karma is a bitch.
Markangelo Yap’s estate will now sue the homeowner for not keeping him out of his home.
I like a story with a happy ending.
That dude won’t make that mistake again.
A lamentably common error. The phrase is properly spelled "just deserts."
Ordinarily I wouldn't go grammar nazi on this, but given the seriousness of the thread...
Another pest eliminated. No extra charge..
“The family who lives in the home said he stole an iPhone, an iPad, and other electronics.”
Not defending the thief, he got what he deserved. But why would you leave expensive small portable electronics like these behind in a home that you knew was going to fumigated? You are just asking for this stuff to walk, would not take much effort to put them in a bag and carry them out with you.
What happened to common sense?
Kills unwanted pests.
They probably wanted the electronics treated as well. Bedbugs are known to crawl into small ports in electronics.
Good testimonial for the poison. Apparently it DOES kill vermin.
Fumigation is supposed to kill parasites and pests. It works. Good riddance.
Could be older versions that aren’t used much. We have 2 older iPads and several older phone plus some older laptops. I’m sure I wouldn’t remember them if our house was fumigated.
Yap, is the 42nd most common surname in China.
