The Mäanderhöhle cave near Bamberg was previously regarded as an archaeological sensation. It was thought to contain some of the oldest cave art in Germany. However, Julia Blumenröther, a former student at FAU's Institute of Prehistory and Early History, has demonstrated in her Master's thesis that the markings discovered inside the cave in 2005 are not fertility symbols carved by humans as previously thought. In fact, these lines occurred as a result of natural processes, the archaeologist says.
One of the caverns in the 75-metre long cave is full of spherical deposits of minerals known as cave clouds that form on rocks in a similar way to stalactites and stalagmites. In 2005, cave researchers discovered a large number of lines that looked like they could have been made by humans on the rock-hard surface of these cave clouds. An archaeologist studied these lines several years later and published his interpretation of them in a preliminary report, in which he said that the between 14,000 and 16,000 year-old lines were made by humans and probably depicted a phallus and abstract female figures...
A detailed examination led to the conclusion that humans most likely did not play a role in creating the lines in the Mäanderhöhle cave. 'The scientific analysis showed that the courses and cross-sections of all of the lines contradict the hypothesis that they were carved by humans using a hard, sharp object. Furthermore, none of the 138 lines depict any kind of known Stone Age motif,' Julia Blumenröther says. 'The Mäanderhöhle with its cave clouds is certainly of great interest for cave research, but it cannot be regarded as containing the oldest Stone Age cave art in Germany,' she concludes.

Forgery - by mother nature.
“...and abstract female figures... “
So sort of like the Tetons?
Some of the art in the museums are not painted by artists, either.
Wow! Talk about breaking the fourth wall.
Pretty funny. Once again the folks who want to tell us what really happened deal in false tales
They were done before The Fall,
When there wasn’t even any Hollywood.

Human ingenuity.
Self correcting.
It’s the height of arrogance to think we know it all, so changes to the prevailing thinking is to be expected and applauded.
Archaeologists...one track mind pervs.
Ah but these archeologists and evolutionists still insist their understanding is correct. If they stuck to the science not the fairy tales I would be more impressed
>>Some of the art in the museums are not painted by artists, either.<<
...and not everything painted by an artist is art, either.
I had a beautiful, framed “abstract” canvas on my wall that never failed to receive admiring comments from visitors. That never failed to produced suppressed snickers from me. It was a rescued canvas that an artist I knew had used for cleaning her brushes.
So which archaeological "tale" do you believe is false?
Anyone they make up telling us what society looked like or even to some extend what animals, critters, and humans looked like.
They have a few bones. They change their ideas and understanding all the time. The one thing they won’t say is that there is a Creator of all things. They want everyone to believe that evolution is a scientific fact.
Pick any of a thousand things that have been false tales.....
Also not ifs, ands, or butts. This looks to me what might be botryoidal formations, which can be made of chalcedony and other minerals with some beautiful colorations. Much prettier than this cave appears to be. Enjoy this link.
