AMITE, La. - Decked out in full cap and gown, complete with a valedictorian cord, Andrew Jones showed up to his graduation from Amite High School ready to experience his hard work paying off.
He didn't get the chance because of what he was wearing on his face.
"Eventually they took my gown," he recalled, "They told me they had to take my gown from me."

America, rather than being a dictatorship,
is a nation of little dictators.

Jones and his family were reminded of the rule three times, including graduation night, along with 13 other graduates. They were told if they didn't go in the bathroom to shave, they couldn't participate with the class Given every opportunity he made his wrong choice.
Hopefully he learned more that day than in the 4 years of high school.

So... you can identify as a woman but not as a man with facial hair.
Nuts.

The high schooler is also a father.
A good father according to his mother.
Words fail me.

"They told me they had to take my gown from me." Bearded!
Marked with a beatnik's shame.
What do you do when you're bearded,
Will you fight for your name?

These schools do a better job of teaching abuse of power than academics.

Bet you they’d have no problem with a female valedictorian who “identified” as a male wearing a beard.

my high school did not allow facial hair either, and hair had to be above the collar in the back, and no longer than your ear-lobe on the sides or sideburns.
that was many years ago though, and it was an all boys school.
but from the article, it looks like the kid knew the rules

I agree 100%. If that is the policy then that is the policy.
Next thing you know he wants to dress out in the girls locker room.
Children need guidance and he can receive his in the mail.

Given every opportunity he made his wrong choice. Hopefully he learned more that day than in the 4 years of high school. Not true - it was selective enforcement by petty totalitarians. He's a human being, not a slave.
"The superintendent said that the principal at Amite High was unavailable to answer as to why the student was allowed to have a beard throughout the school year, but not on graduation."
I pray he never changes. This country is being destroyed by cowardly bastards.

And he has an “academic” scholarship to college.
He should work and support his child-——oh wait, we are probably supporting it.

"It don't make sense, every day of school I went with it, even more, I did shave," said Jones, "I had like sides and everything, but I shaved that for graduation."
Barely speaks English, has baby and a baby momma and he's the smartest one in his class?
obviously it's racism./sarc

Good God. You are the problem with America. You applaud those that don’t follow the rules even though he was told 3 times to not have a beard. No wonder America is dying with folks like you.
