CHICAGO (CBS) — A 33-year-old man has been ordered held without bail, accused of choking an 8-year-old girl unconscious in a public restroom in the South Loop.
Police said the girl became separated from her mother inside a store near Roosevelt and Canal on Saturday, and went into the restroom.
Reese Hartstirn allegedly followed the girl in, and choked her until she passed out. Her mother heard her daughter scream, and walked in to find Hartstirn carrying the girl into a stall, police said.
Police said Hartstirn pushed the girl’s mother when she tried to rescue her, and other customers at the store helped detain the man until police arrived. He also allegedly took a swing at a police officer while he was being booked at the Central District police station.
The girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Hartstirn was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery of a child, and aggravated assault of a police officer, police said.

The true reason the liberals focus on “gender identity” is that most women would tolerate a person who had the male plumbing removed as a woman. After all, no male plumbing, no need for men’s room.
The identity focus is because fewer than 25% of the transgenders have the surgery to remove the plumbing - so most of these trans cases are biologically intact men who want to use the women’s room, changing rooms, locker rooms and showers. To compound the horror is that most of them retain normal heterosexual attractions.

Most homeless stay all day at Harold Washington Library at Congress&State, and use nearby Grant Park as a washroom daily hangout area.
Basically, if you come to our 'fine' city stay north of the library and watch your kids

There were other close calls with my girls growing up. My mom let me take the bus when I was 5 to my grandmother's and would send me downtown on errands when I was 7 or 8. OMG. You shouldn't do that now. She knew things happened, too. She never sent my sister. Only me. I was really lucky, used rest rooms everywhere by myself.
There are some down in the park, open to anyone, no doors on the stalls, no big deal in years past. But I would be afraid to use them now if I was alone for fear somebody could trap me in there.

I’m sorry to hear that. There’s a thin line between being overbearing & protective....it’s a difficult balance. This culture is so poisoned these days....I shudder to think what it would be like having young ones now.
