My significant other is in the medical profession and things Jenner suffers from addictions to plastic surgery and is not a classic “trans” gay type. Michael Jackson was like that too, etc. Turning trans was like the ultimate plastic surgery make-over and that was what attracted Jenner t o it maybe more than the “woman in man’s body” BS.

If true, not all that unusual. If you have a strong desire to chop off a limb or blind yourself you are diagnosed with a form of Body Dysmorphic Disorder and given treatment. You certainly aren't helped to multilate yourself. Unless it takes the form of wanting to chop off your package, then you are called a brave hero.

But in the end, if you take a person who has some form of mental illness and treat them with life altering mutilations it should not really be a surprise that their underlying depression, neuroses, and lack of self esteem aren't magically cured. In fact many of these trans people end up regretting it and their suicide rates are disproportionately high after they get all their surgeries. Because treating their real illness isn't PC.
