Two people are dead after a stabbing and shooting at a mall and a home in Taunton, Massachusetts, and their attacker was shot and killed by an off-duty officer, state police said.

Massachusetts State police and Taunton police responded to a report of a shooting and stabbing at the Silver City Galleria Mall on Galleria Drive and a related crime scene at a home on Myrick Street at about 7 p.m.
