Did the passengers use the complimentary shopping carts to haul some extra boxes of donuts back to the ship?
I did some work in Ketchikan. Sort of a love-hate relationship with the tourists. The locals like the money the tourists bring in, but also like the peace and quiet once they leave. I suppose it would be similar to ski-resort towns and other tourist areas that are seasonal.
Yes....MEn should shrug this crap off......so should you!!! Quit being offended at something that was not meant for yoyur darling Chinese DIL!! Good freaking grief!! MAN UP!!!
Yeah, something is not sounding right here.
Maybe one cruise passenger did this, and the woman speaking for the shelter is blowing it out of proportion.

I remember some years ago there were Cape Cod residents standing on the bridges on Labor Day as most tourists left.
They were carrying signs saying “Good riddance!” etc.

That’s the good thing about having showers at the office (i.e., they have a gym there).
You can show up for breakfast at the local homeless shelter on the way in while you’re still looking grunged out.
I won’t “MAN UP”-—ridiculous.

Because they swarmed the continental breakfast - their group rate paid for a specific breakfast which was available to them in the lobby. Their bus was waiting and there were only a few PAYING guests who werw obvioulsy European and the UGLT AMETICANS you are attempting to defend were in pajama bottoms, t-shirts and were whining. The hotel staff was waiting for them to board their bus and the students pushed past them to get to the amenities they did not pay for.
Who are you and why would you even attempt to defend them??!!
I was there. They were called The Ugly Americans foe good reason.
Oh, and since you are unfamiliar with European hotels, they know how many guests they need to prepare their continental breakfast for and do so accordingly. These students cleared the buffet, leaving almost nothing for the paying guests.
And sorry to get all huffy but their behavior still chaps me. They were so ‘entitled’ and whiney and I was embarrassed to claim them.
I was 11 years old before I learned that “damn yankee” was 2 words.

And she was right, man up. We all know that a few Chinamen are educated and polite. However, there are also a billion plus who have zero sense of proper behavior.
Its a well known fact among travelers.

My daughter-in-law was born in this country,as were her parents.
She’s more American than I am.
