He’s completely enjoyed forcing Christians to violate their consciences and faith throughout his term. He does not believe in religious freedom...except for his religion - islam.
Apparently the colonists’ idea of “religious freedom” was to be free of the Church of England so they could impose something else of their choosing, because all 13 colonies had an official state-supported religion. Which they all 13 incorporated into their state constitutions after the the establishment of the United States.
The last two hold-outs were North Carolina and New Hampshire, who only removed the state religion clauses from their constitutions in 1875 and 1877, respectively, in response to the 1868 ratification of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.
