In a proclamation designating May 5 as a National Day of Prayer, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that the United States was founded on the idea of religious freedom and that the U.S. will continue to stand up for those around the world who are subject to fear or violence because of their religion or beliefs. As a Nation free to practice our faith as we choose, we must remember those around the world who are not afforded this freedom, and we must recommit to building a society where all can enjoy this liberty and live their lives in peace and dignity, Obama added.

He’s completely enjoyed forcing Christians to violate their consciences and faith throughout his term. He does not believe in religious freedom...except for his religion - islam.
Apparently the colonists’ idea of “religious freedom” was to be free of the Church of England so they could impose something else of their choosing, because all 13 colonies had an official state-supported religion. Which they all 13 incorporated into their state constitutions after the the establishment of the United States.
The last two hold-outs were North Carolina and New Hampshire, who only removed the state religion clauses from their constitutions in 1875 and 1877, respectively, in response to the 1868 ratification of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.
