Millions of Us Are Strangers in Our Own Party
Conservative Review ^ | 5-3-16 | Daniel Horowitz

Millions of us are strangers in our own party.

No, this is not because of Donald Trump’s victories over the past few months, although it is certainly a reflection of them. It is because the media has succeeded in helping reelect every single RINO incumbent in every election cycle and most open races, including in this much-vaunted year of the outsider. The system is rigged, but not in the way Donald Trump claims; he is the recipient of the rigged system. It is rigged because anyone who is truly a smart and principled conservative will be destroyed in a primary – either overpowered by the media or the superior power, money or fame of the non-conservative candidate who almost always runs as a conservative outsider as well.

I don’t know. I honestly don’t.

The “insiders” I know are publicly saying that, but over whisky saying they have no idea how this will break.

It may be time for some madness.

Yes, the GOPe has been successfully suppressing the base for decades. They need to be destroyed.

But to say Trump is the beneficiary of this is just plain stupid. They did everything in their power to destroy him, and tore the party apart in the process. Their carefully constructed mask was ripped off, revealing the ugly evil underneath.

The first step in restoring this once great country is to get rid of the GOPe, including all of their associated power centers (Fox, National Review, the Weekly Standard, Rove, Beck, Levin, Rush, all the Bushes, etc.).

It may already be too late, but if anyone can do it, it’s Trump. No, he’s not perfect. Neither was Ronald Reagan.

Neither was Winston Churchill. Neither was George Patton. But they were fighters, and the right people for what was needed at the time.

We’re in a fight to save this country right now, the biggest since the Civil War. It’s certain to get VERY ugly before we even get to November. The riots this summer and fall are certain to be severe, and could even lead to mass civil unrest. Obama will stoke the flames.

Once it becomes clear Trump will win, our enemies worldwide are certain to strike while the weakling Obama is still President. Trump already leads Clinton in the polls, and that is in spite of the most extreme attacks on any politician in this country EVER. Even worse than the attacks on Sarah Palin.

Personally, I am certain we have a very rough ride ahead of us in every way. But at least we have a fighter to rally behind, and that means we just might get through it.

Great meme. However, the picture isn’t big enough, but you should have included George W. Bush, Bob Dole and George H.W. Bush. NONE of them were true conservatives - GWB was the closest, but I gave up on him after he signed Medicare Part D (as an aside, how the F&^$ do you get up on a podium with Ted Kennedy and sign a bill while he’s grinning like the Cheshire Cat?).

Since Reagan, the GOPe has made sure that we have no genuine conservative choices. At least with Trump, he owes them NOTHING. He despises a lot of them, because they are nothing but manipulative leeches, just like the bureaucrats that he’s had to deal with on ALL of his projects, the people with their hands out and an expectation that you’ll kiss their butts to get what you want. Well, I don’t think that there’s any kind of person that Trump despises, and wants to bring down a few pegs, than manipulative leeches. He even said that there are some Republicans that he does NOT want aboard the Trump Train - those guys are in the crosshairs, and Trump (once elected) will attach a 155mm howitzer to that scope and pull the lanyard.

This never was one of the great romances
But I thought you`d always have those young girl`s eyes
But now they look in tired and bitter glances
At the ghost of a man who walks `round in my disguise

I get the feeling that I don`t belong here
But there`s no welcome in the window anyway
And I look down for a number on my key chain
`Cause it feels more like a hotel everyday

There`s a stranger in the house; nobody`s seen his face
But everybody says he`s taken my place
There`s a stranger in the house no one will ever see
But everybody says he looks like me

And now you say you’ve got no expectations
But I know you also miss those carefree days
And for all the angry words that passed between us
You still don`t understand me when I say

There`s a stranger in the house; nobody`s seen his face
But everybody says he`s taken my place
There`s a stranger in the house no one will ever see
But everybody says he looks like me

Envy is an ugly thang.

Legal paths —
The Border Fence Act to enclose the entire southern border was passed nearly a decade ago. Kay Bailey Hutchinson led the crusade to defund the Act.

He will accomplish a great deal and turn this country around in spite of the negativity that you have chosen to accept.

If the press was pushing Donald Trump, I must have missed it. Unless of course Breitbart is concerned the most listened to news. They were probably the only news source that was 100% behind Trump.

Are you hoping for a criminal Hillary win?
Stay home because the Canadian Lawyer couldn’t make it, and you’re casting a vote for her to carry on Obama’s complete destruction of America, our values and way of life.

When Hillary accused Trump of waging a war against women, the next day Trump came back with “You are married to Bill Clinton and accuse me of waging a war against women?”. Shut her up right then. I have been waiting 16 years for a Republican to say this.

Instead we have gotten Jeb Bush introducing her for an award.

You are correct. Now I must ask how DT expects to change congress?

DT “changes Congress” the same way other presidents do. He writes legislation and sends it over, and one of the actors in Congress puts in in the hopper as though they are the sponsor of it.

The fundamental problem is the entrenched political class.

They are there to protect themselves. This goes against the “citizen legislator” who comes...does his public service, and goes back home to his business.

Now we have professional politicians who are only in it for their career. Like “Chuck You” Schumer. He’s never worked a real job a day in his pathetic life. He has literally suckled at the teat of government his entire adult life. He has never worked in the private sector as a lawyer or anything else.

He has a couple of pensions form his time as Assemblyman and Senator in New York State, PLUS his pension from his time in U.S. House and as Senator. THey’ve got to be pretty sweet as far as it goes, not like mine. Which will provide poverty level subsistence, and then add a bankrupt Socialist Stupidity payment, that, a) assuming I live to collect it or, b) it goes completely bankrupt and stops paying entirely. No...”Chuck You” Schumer will live large in his old age..
