I've said many times before, when Trump uses the words "We're gonn'a bring jobs back to America" ... many of us (especially older Americans) see, via memory, the plants and factories and all that 1950's kind of stuff in our heads

And a few of us younger folks remember the rebuilding of our economy from the disastrous Carter years into a powerhouse by the mid 1980’s.

I am so glad we get such great and important work out of our representatives.

Nobody ever heard of Norman Rockwell, you know. It’s not like he’s Lady Gaga or something.

On one hand, it’s nice when they do something that does not take rights away nor impinge upon commerce.

On the other, kabuki like this makes them feel important enough to impose 2x the crap they should not.

I wouldn't go as far as replacing the American eagle with Norman Rockwell, But yes, Rockwell was truly, truly a national treasure.

His paintings showed all that was good about America, and he celebrated the American spirit. And if any lefties start hating on Rockwell, I'd just remind them of his bold, brave painting on desegregation, “The Problem We All Live With”.

I wish I had the skill set to post it here.

I have always considered Rockwell the greatest painter that ever lived. His realism is beyond words. And his subject matter is the story of my life.

Norman Rockwell's America is not an idea to which to return. It was the era of the New Deal, the Income Tax, foreign entanglements and world wars, and government meddling in the economy, including price controls.

We need to, but never will, return to the Constitution.

Thank God it is about NORMAN Rockwell.

When I saw the title I was afraid it was about LEW Rockwell.
