Rescue Cat Turns Her Crooked Jaw into a Beautiful Smile

Duchess the Miracle Cat was brought into a Texas animal
hospital. Most places would’ve just euthanised her...
...as she had a broken jaw and other complications.
But two vets decided that they were going to take a
chance on the unlucky feline.
Her chances of survival were slim, and Duchess had to have
all her teeth removed.
Luckily, everything went perfect and Duchess got a beautiful
smile!
The best part? After seeing this smile, Crystal Tate decided to
adopt her straight from the clinic!
"The day I first met Duchess, her mouth was just beginning
to heal, and the feeding tube had just been removed, and she
was very thin."
"The lowest meow caught my attention; her eyes showed so
much sadness, but her purrs showed so much love
and hope."
"The doctors asked me if I could give her a home a few
weeks later. I knew immediately we were meant to land
in each other lives."
"I had never cared for a special needs kitty, and she had never

Looks great, she can eat soft food normally? I just posted the story to FR...a friend forwarded it to me earlier. Not sure about food as I was wondering the same, but I imagine she can handle soft food with her gums.

As a “momma” to 35 kittehs currently, I’d have happily made this sweet lil girlie number 36 in a heartbeat! She’s adorable!
Glad they gave her a chance at life and that she has a loving home.

LOL! It’s not by choice! Living on a farm, we get a lot of dump-offs. Just got one last week. He’s had his FLV/FIV tests, gotten his shots, and gets neutered Wed. morning.
They can be a handful but we love ‘em dearly. And once they arrive here, they’re here for life.

I really needed a story like this today. A few tears of happiness puts life back in perspective very nicely. I would have adopted that kitteh into my cat family in a heartbeat.
