I assume these are a whole lot cheaper than sending F35s over target and approaching the same accuracy. Anyone know the range?
The MLRS is a bit bigger than the Nebelwerfer:

And the smaller “HIMARS”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIMARS
“In November 2015, the United States Army revealed they had deployed the HIMARS to Iraq, firing at least 400 rockets at the Islamic State since the beginning of summer. HIMARS detachments were sent to Al Asad Airbase and Al-Taqaddum Air Base in Anbar province. On “”4 March 2016””, Army HIMARS systems fired rockets into Syria in support of Syrian rebels fighting ISIL for the first time, with the launchers based in neighboring Jordan.”
Why are we broadcasting military intent to God and [every] Country with ears?
The Turks are cooperating?
We must be targeting Kurds and Yazidi.
Means we likely have forward observers in ISIS territory. Very brave souls.
The first “non-combatant” to get it, and that’ll be the end of that.
Good to finally have the Queen of the Battlefield make her appearance. From what I have seen, ISIS uses their captured arty for point targets and to try and defeat minor obstacles. Once the professional US artillery makes its presence known, ISIS will soil themselves.
“A modern day version of the German Nebelwerfer.”
My father in law used to call those “the screaming me me’s”
It doesn’t matter how many sides we can hold, the muzzy in chief won’t let our troops do anything to harm his buddies.
Are the guys in the truck when launching?
If so it must be quite the site and sound must be very loud.
