Why are we seeing so much hatred this time around in regard to our potential candidates? I don't care for Trump and certainly would have trouble voting for him, but you would not catch me saying the sort of things about him or his supporters that we usually reserve for those trying to rend the country in two and destroy what is left of our liberties. The things I see said about Cruz and those who support him serve no good purpose, and yes similar things are said about Trump and his supporters, but not to nearly the same extent. Aren't we supposed to be on the same side here? This has gone beyond disagreement into absolute hatred. This is the reason the liberals win elections, because conservatives become so fractured that they cannot compete. The GOP left conservatives behind a long time ago, but with this bickering and infighting, all we are doing is letting them destroy us.

I’m a cruzer here in Texas, from a NE inner city kink of where trump comes from.
When we were younger on the corner or were ever, we would crack jokes so bad making every body laugh where you thought Tony was doing his brother or mother or whatever. On the corner there never were any bounds where we could crack up on each other. Sure some guys got butthurt but usually the next day we were out there laughing again.
I can guarantee Trump will be able to convince Ted it was all part of the game.

I was definately enjoying things more when the trio of Trump-Cruz-Carson seemed to be triumphant in blocking out the loathesome GOP establishment, and watching Christie, Jeb, Rubio, all going down in flames. It was fascinating to follow.
Eh, but since then, my enjoyment wilted. The whole primary season seemed to turn into the “Jerry Springer” show. Just endless dumbness. Haven’t even watched any network news, or listened to any talk-radio for a whole month now. Which is a record for me.

No, not really. Candidates are decided by votes except where they're not. And votes are taking place tonight. Debates are over. You can argue if you like but it won't determine the candidates. Perhaps you haven't argued persuasively enough before.
Hillary will be the First Woman President, just as the Democrats planned it by splitting the GOP. There is nothing more pathetic than the gullible voter.

Most of the nastiness was precipitated by Cruz trolls (or Hillary trolls posing as Cruz trolls) who were apparently paid by their masters to hack old but inactive FR accounts so they can pose as long time members.

Conservatives are enemies of the populist Trump supporters. They are no longer any part of the Republican Party. We need to be destroyed so as not to in any way damage the Trump machine.
You have to get past your denial. Cruz fanboys are some of the most vicious, hateful entities ever to populate this community: non-stop derogation of both Donald Trump and his supporters, with Ted Cruz himself leading the way in insulting GOP voters.
The more that Cruz's campaign implodes, the nastier his supporters' attacks become. That means they're about as nasty as humanly possible at this point.

I doubt many have read FR more thoroughly in recent months than I have, and I assure you Cruzers posts are orders of magnitude more vituperative and venomous, hateful and ugly, than those of Trumpsters.
Even a cursory reading would make this clear. If someone wishes to do a full blown academic/statistical study, I would encourage and welcome it. Cruzers on FR followed the tone and behavior of their leader: hateful, sick, and most importantly totally uninformed and happily so.
YOU are asked very nicely to LEAVE. If you Cruzers hold, as you claim, the higher moral ground in areas of civility, then do as requested and LEAVE.
