My husband heard the exchange between Sean and Cruz during Hannity Radio show today. I happened to miss it. He said it was quite bizarre, with Cruz being very rude to Sean. Cruz was extremely irritated by Sean's questioning of the delegate fiasco. Cruz sounded like a robot. Anyone else hear the interview?
Cruz is taking Trump’s points again and robotically sounding like they were his own.
Ted lies again. There was no election in ND. There was a straw poll that Trump won. I am so sick of Ted “A Time For Truth” Cruz’s lies.
Although Cruz was agitated and animated...I believe he did a pretty good job of explaining it ultimately.
Sean wanted to get into very harry details about how Cruz is using his ground game to work the caucus states and to work the conventions in the Primary states where if there is a second ballot, he is getting delegates elected because of his ground game, who will vote for him if there is a second ballot.
That’s just smart, hard work by Cruz who knows the process and the rules.
I simply believe it is not going to be enough.
If Trump has a big night tonight (and I believe he probably will), and then follows that with a strong showing next week...I believe Trump will most definitely get to the 1237 before the convention and put all of this drama to rest.
I am a Cruz supporter...but these are just the facts.
My hope is that Cruz, once his mathematical path is closed and sealed, and if Trump really does well next week...that Cruz in May will put down the war hatchet and come out in support of Trump and help build the winning team we simply have to have for November.
Cruz can do that (in terms of burying the hatchet and uniting the party)...and I hope and pray he will.
That’s exactly what he is doing. He didn’t have any of these talking points for months ago, but if you listen to him today he sounds just like Trump because he knows that message is resonating.
Noticed out how he never talks about building a wall though. He just says we need to secure our borders which is code word for do nothing. Nothing will change with Ted Cruz
“Cruz is the only candidate that wants to abolish the IRS. For that alone Ill vote for him.”
Abolishing the IRS and replacing it with something is pointless.
The only one who proposed getting rid of the IRS and replacing it with NOTHING was Ron Paul. Under Cruz’s plan, the income tax stays in place.
Sorry for the typos. I guess you shouldn’t use speech to text when posting here
Sean has become wrapped in the drama rather than the substance. I have stopped listening because of the change.
The delegate process has been around for a long time. Trump’s people and he are not sufficiently experienced to know the ins and outs of the complicated process. It is Trump’s problem, not Cruz’s.
Basically, Ted is out negotiating Trump.
Well managed campaigns always contact delegates and attempt to get delegates elected who will support their candidate. There is no such thing as “stealing delegates”. Any candidate should know that the nominee is elected by the delegates, not the popular vote. I will say however, Trump should not be complaining since his share of the delegates far exceeds his percentage of the popular vote.
Can’t wait for June to finally stop hearing the nonsense from Cruz’s supporters.
Thanks for your honest response. And I so hope you’re right about Cruz laying down the hatchet, but to me that is very very unlikely. Needing of prayers for sure, as it would take divine intervention.
Let's be reasonable, here. Can you at least admit that Trump has less than a snowball's chance in hell of doing the "bipartisan effort" thing, either? Have you listened to liberals' reactions either to Cruz or to Trump? Both are hated and despised; if anyone thinks that Trump can magically snap his fingers and make Hollywood do what he wants (no matter how "savvy" and "business-wise" his persona is), he's deluding himself.
I didn’t mention the word stealing delegates did I? I am referring to sabotage from the party Elites and the party faithful who are deliberately ignoring Trump candidates for delegate and replacing them with their own slate. I’m I’m saying it’s happening in every single District in almost every state and that is not the way it has been done in the past
I heard it an almost posted about it. Cruz came off as hostile and irritable....or in other words a complete asshole. It was pretty stunning to hear him treat Hannity like that.
Cruz should not be bragging since his share of the delegates far exceeds his percentage of the popular vote.
From the interview:
Cruz responded, Sean, the only people asking this question, are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters. Hannity again cut in to ask, Senator, why do you this? Every single time you youve got to stop. Every time I have you on the air, and I ask a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face. Im getting sick of it. Ive had you on more than any other candidate, on radio and TV. So, if I ask you, Senator, a legitimate question to explain to the audience, why dont you just answer it?
Cruz doesn’t have the temperament to be president. He reminds me of Obama. Gets his nose out of joint if you question him. In the last week or so he’s gotten testy with O’Reilly, slammed Drudge, and acted like a petulant child on Hannity.
He po’ed Hannity pretty bad. Hannity’s all over Twitter about this.
My husband was a Cruz guy until a few weeks ago. That’s why his hearing Sean’s show and then telling me about it was particularly encouraging to me. He said, Cruz sounds so different now than when he first started.
Cruz is probably mad since Hannity spanked his supporters last week for lying about how much more time Trump gets on Seans show than Ted.
Turns out, Ted had gotten 180 minutes of time while Trump has only gotten 120 minutes.
I’m listening to it. Ted Cruz is a sleaze, he makes it clear that courting and turning delegates and going to a contested convention and winning on the second ballot is perfectly legal and it’s the will of the voters.
I won’t be listening to any further interviews of him.
1. It hasn't mattered in the recent past.
2. Back when it did matter, candidates were aware that they needed to defend their delegates.
3. Now that it matters again, one candidate was prepared to aggressively recruit delegates, while the other failed to appreciate the situation.
Sen. Ted Cruz: Top Priority to Abolish the IRSSen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Oxon Hill, Md., on Feb. 26, 2015.
Can we stop with the lies already?
