Amazon’s ‘Transparent’ crew upset with gender-neutral bathrooms on set

Crew members working on “Transparent” are reportedly upset with gender-neutral bathrooms on set — and too afraid to speak up.

Toilets on the set of the critically acclaimed Amazon hit about a transgender woman’s journey are open to male, female and transgender occupants, reports TMZ, making some uncomfortable with the prospect of running into a different gender in the restroom.

But fear of appearing intolerant on the Emmy-winning series celebrated for its inclusiveness has apparently kept disgruntled employees from complaining.

The bathrooms contain at least two stalls and two urinals, photos obtained by the gossip site show. They have been gender-neutral for more than a year, according to a September 2014 USA Today interview with “Transparent” creator Jill Soloway.

The report comes as some states — notably North Carolina — have come under fire for anti-LGBT laws preventing transgender men and women from using restrooms based on their gender identity.

Yeah it won’t be long that an employer with this ridiculous bathroom thing going on with males/females/whatevers in the same room with privates out will be sued for sexual harassment iow a threatening work environment.

It’s what’s next.

Just put a freakin’ toilet in a little room with a door on it. Repeat as needed. End this stupidity.

Or go with biology. If Amricans decide to be so stupid as to believe that gender is a decision you "choose" by how you "feel", then lets break it down to a more basic category that isn't a choice.

Well when they start letting me use the men’s room, I’m gonna go “standing up”.

We females really don’t have any aim, though. ;-)

The federal result will probably be that all businesses will be forced by law to build the appropriate number of bathrooms for all the many genders.

Who will police who goes into the appropriate bathroom?

The Federal Bathroom Police?

Your soul must be incredibly soiled to feel that you have to soil everything around you.

It is people like you that make it more and more difficult every day to read Free Republic.

Or is that your plan?

Instead of “gender”, rest-rooms need to be labelled by hardware.

The hell with being afraid. That is sexual harassment in the work place and it is illegal in America.

This is what happens when you say feelings are more important that traditional rules for one’s protection due to human nature.
Liberals are insane to say a woman’s right to privacy includes abortion but not the segregation in intimate settings (bathrooms, changing rooms, showers) which exist to reduce the risk of ogling and rape.

Walmart’s solution is “family” bathrooms. Whether it is a Mom with two boys or transgender or disabled person with a partner helping them use the facility, that’s the bathroom for those who aren’t just male or female in a stall by themselves.

“dropping bombs in the bathroom?”

It’s usually hard enough to find a clean stall in the Ladies room. Guys will need to learn to wipe the seat before sitting down. Women like to hover over the toilet seat and pee all over it.

I will go in my pants before I share a public restroom with men. So women who complain if a guy tells them they look nice aren’t going to mind being leered at through the cracks in the stall doors by men while they go?

I don’t even recognize this country anymore.

It’s not only the republican party that left me, it’s the whole country.

The Left has won such crushing victories that any further “victories” are showing them to be totally out of their minds.

I agree. Nobody was talking about transvestite rights just 3 or 4 years ago. Now it's commonly accepted culturally and even a matter of LAW in some places.

It shows how powerful the Liberal movement is and how powerless the Conservative movement is. I don't even think there even is a conservative movement in this country.

Aside from editorials and open letters, the entire Liberal agenda has been completely realized with ZERO resistance. It's really amazing.

I’m putting on the popcorn and enjoying the show.

That's all we can do, isn't it? That's what I'm doing. I stopped getting upset about this stuff.

As Oreilly has said many times, "People eventually get the government they deserve."

The Republican candidates would be smart to take advantage and show how it’s the Democrats are the ones waging a war on women’s safety by giving opportunities to perverts and rapists, and not wanting women to be able to defend themselves with a gun.

We're well past that, and it won't happen anyway. Republicans have very clearly demonstrated that they are either unable or unwilling to fight against the Liberal agenda. Not just for the past 7 years under Obama, but the past several decades.
