Why would it? The features were clearly based on a Caucasian model; medieval relic makers wouldn't have dreamed of making Jesus look like an Jew.

Jesus should have been from the tribe of Judah (as a descendant of David). So the widely-known Levite line wouldn't be a help. But there are other Jewish markers that could be used.

Some researchers claim that both the Shroud and Sudarium have AB negative blood type which is a minority blood type (only 1% of the world's population is AB negative), but it is almost 15% of the population of the population of the Semitic population of the area that comprised the Holy Land.
